In this paper, a refine 3D nonlinear finite element model (FEModel) of the wood framed construction capable of pushover analysis were developed firstly. And then static nonlinear pushover analysis was conducted utilizing the inverted triangle (first mode) load pattern in order to get the seismic capacity pushover curve of the FEModel. Based on the pushover curve the improved capacity-demand-diagram method was adopted to estimate the story deformation demand of the wood framed construction with selected inelastic design spectrum with 5% damping ratio. Deformation demand were compared with the allowable value regulated in code to evaluate the seismic performance of the wood framed construction. At last the relationship between nail connection stage in the form of graph and story deformation in the whole deformation processing was discussed.
