Abstrait:

Dongping Bridge in Foshan is a 300-meter-span bridge with combinatorial steel box arch and continuous beam system as well as vice-arch. In this paper, static and dynamic load tests are carried out. Firstly, the major items of static load tests and related layout of measuring points for the bridge are introduced. Then evaluation was carried out on the bridge’s static stress performance via comparison of the results of two kinds of loading test cases. Moreover, the results of the dynamic load tests are given. From the loading tests, it has been seen that the structural strength and rigidity of Dongping Bridge meet the requirements of design and related quality evaluation standards under static loads. It also proved that under normal load effect the bridge was basically in plastic state and conformed to the requirements of loading capacity.
